About This Artwork
This painting is a meditation on the presence and persistence of light. Emerging from a dense, textured core of deep blacks and muted greens, radiant yellow tones spiral outward, suggesting light not as a sudden burst, but as a force that slowly expands—resilient, patient, and undeniable.
Through layered impasto and circular motion, I sought to depict light as a journey rather than a destination. The darkness at the center holds weight and memory, but it is the light that insists on movement, on growth, on becoming.
This work invites viewers to contemplate how even the smallest illumination can reshape space, perception, and emotion. It is a quiet reminder that light is always in motion, pushing forward, even when it begins from shadow.
